Staying COVID-19 Secure: Published 26th June 2020
We wish to convey our latest position on COVID-19 to all our customers within the UK. We have reacted and enabled all the government guidance in order to protect our employees and those who work with us. We have enabled two thirds of our employees to work from home and have put in place multiple protocols to ensure social distancing for those who continue to work on our sites. We have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 and have put in place the following steps to ensure a safe working practice.
- We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here
- We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
- We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
- We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
- Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risks

Order Delivery Update: Published 26th June 2020
Amid the developing Covid-19 situation we wanted to update and offer reassurance that our teams are working tirelessly to ensure we are fulfilling all orders and our aim is for all our deliveries to be on time. As we have previously advised we are no longer able to provide overnight or same day deliveries. We will continue to monitor the transport situation and will keep you updated.
There may be delays experienced with some orders due to increased demand, social distancing rules and safety measures applied in our production and warehouse facilities. It is vitally important for us to ensure that robust procedures are in place to support the health and wellbeing of everyone.
To continue compliance with the social distancing measures set out by the UK Government and Public Health England we have:
- Implemented a one-way system in our warehouse and production facilities.
- Ensured there is strict ‘physical distancing’ in place in all areas of our facilities.
- Thorough and frequent cleaning and sanitising of all equipment.
- Regular hand washing using additionally installed facilities.
Continuation of a strong supply chain in these challenging times is essential and we are confident that through the measures we have taken we will keep disruption to a minimum.
We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you as valued customers of Sika Everbuild for your support so we can continue to service you to our usual high standards.
Government Update on Business Support
The outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is continuing to impact people and businesses around the globe. Our top priority since the beginning has been the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners and communities, and this continues to remain the case today.
We recognise the many challenges that businesses face as a result of this crisis, and we understand the importance of business continuity as we navigate through unchartered territory, as a collective global community.
In March 2020, the UK Government announced a package of measures to help support businesses who may be experiencing difficulty caused by the COVID-19 disruption. With the rapid changing nature of the virus outbreak, information and advice from the government can change quickly too. We therefore wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of the changes to the government support schemes that may prove to be helpful to you.
The Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS): The Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS) is a new scheme designed to enable smaller businesses to access finance more quickly during the coronavirus outbreak. The scheme helps provide financial support to businesses across the UK that are losing revenue, and seeing their cashflow disrupted, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and that can benefit from £50,000 or less in finance.
For further information on this scheme please visit the government website at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-a-coronavirus-bounce-back-loan
Extension of the Job Retention Scheme: On Tuesday 12 May 2020, the Chancellor announced the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will remain open until the end of October. The scheme will continue in its current form until the end of July and the changes to allow more flexibility will come in from the start of August. More specific details and information around its implementation will be made available by the government by the end of this month.
You can find further information on this scheme and others on the government website: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus/business-support
We appreciate these are challenging circumstances, and we would like to assure you that we are committed to being your partner, to help support the needs of your business in any way we can. We have plans and procedures in place to continue to serve you with our products and services throughout this crisis, while also minimising the risk to your employees, our employees, and our partner networks.
We are truly grateful for your support and partnership during this time, as we all face this unprecedented challenge together.
